I’m grown up from a single parent family. My mother with no education background, brought me up all by herself, is not easy at all. Till now I feel that her love for me is far more than I can give it back to her. All I can do is to treat her well and give her a good and happy retirement life.
The fate between Peter Tan Organisation (PTO®) and me tied together was back in April 2004. I happened to meet this cheerful and interesting guy at Westmall roadshow who present me the PruCash Script and build rapport with me. He was late Anthony Yen.
Late Anthony Yen provided very good service to me when I was his client. What he had done change my concept of the career as an insurance agent.
Thereafter he wanted to recruit me as an adviser under him. Initially I rejected his offer because I planned to go for Big 4 audit firm after I completed my ACCA. He waited till my exam was over and kept asking me to go for his interview, attend the seminar & basecamp. Due to his sincerity & perseverance, I finally agreed. I get to know more about Peter Tan Organisation (PTO®) from then on.
The basecamp is the most meaningful camp I have ever gone through. The two days one night camp was a wake up call to my life. Mr Peter Tan made me realised what I want to achieve in my life. Most importantly, what I can do to ensure my mum to achieve a great retirement life.
On top of that, what really strikes me to make up my mind to join Peter Tan Organisation (PTO®) is my adviser, late Anthony Yen. His never say die spirit makes me feel that I want to be an agent under him.
During the 1st one & half years of my adviser life, is my happiest time in Peter Tan Organisation (PTO®). Late Anthony Yen tailor-made his method of coaching & ways of motivation according to every different adviser under him. He knew I love coffee, he would buy me my favourite kopi-o before my roadshow started to encourage me and make me feel motivated to work hard, not only for myself but also for my agency as well. He will write letters to each of us to motivate us regularly. We will feel appreciated for our efforts put in for our manager.
Five months before he passed away, he attended my ROM and gave me & my hubby his last blessings. Till now, I will never forget his smile & his blessings for us.
Well, thanks to late Anthony Yen, that I am able to achieve my Starclub in year 2006. I remembered his last words to me in hospital before he passed away. He said, “Sharon, you must start work already, u have spent enough time on your wedding. Must hit your starclub this year.” Yes, I must hit my starclub, no matter what it takes, for him and myself. And I really did, though the process was not easy at all. I’m so happy I never let him down.
Thereafter, during my stay in Peter Tan Organisation (PTO®), what touches me most is Mr Peter Tan’s effort to appreciate late Anthony Yen by giving his father’s the perpetual income after he passed away. Moreover, he always invites the father of late Anthony Yen on important occasions, which made me feel the warmth and love of this organisation.
I have been in Peter Tan Organisation (PTO®) since September 2004, nearly 5 years. From a young girl, to a married woman, and now I am a mother of a 9 month old son. During this few years in Peter Tan Organisation (PTO®), my career makes my wedding dreams came true. I was able to hold my wedding banquet dinner at my dream five star hotel and have an unforgettable Europe honeymoon trip with my love one. And right now, I am able to have a baby, together with my mum who has retired without worries of money. I’m grateful that late Anthony Yen had brought me to this great organisation. As what he once quoted, “Is not how long you live that counts, is how you live that counts.”
My current manger Cynthia Tan has been very understanding and supportive of my career after late Anthony had passed away. Peter Tan has been very enthusiastic in helping married women and mothers. He always do his best for us and open for opinions if we need any help. He even set up a mother support group!!
